About Belstar Microfinance IPO
Belstar Microfinance Limited is a Non-Banking Finance Company - Micro Finance Institution (NBFC-MFI) that provides small-ticket loans to individuals, mainly women, in rural and semi-urban areas to support income-generating activities, household needs, education, and emergencies. The company aims to promote financial inclusion and empower women through microfinance services. Incorporated in 1988, Belstar Microfinance Limited was acquired in 2008 by Dr. Kalpanaa Sankar, the Managing Director and one of the Promoters. The company is part of the Muthoot Finance Group. Muthoot Finance Limited, a listed corporate promoter, holds a 66.13% stake in the company as of December 31, 2023. Products Offered Belstar Microfinance Limited offers the following types of loans: Micro Enterprise Loans (MELs), Small Enterprise Loans (SELs), Festival Loans, Education Loans, Consumer Goods Loans (CGLs) and Emergency Loans.
